The Town of Frankfort's Zoning Ordinance was adopted on July 31, 2013.

A Zoning Acknowledgement form is required for any new construction and for new (proposed) land uses on existing parcels.
If the construction is a dwelling you must obtain a Building Permit from the Town’s Building Inspector.

If the construction is not a dwelling but will cost in excess of $10,000.00 or 400 square feet, you must file a Zoning Acknowledgement Form with the Town Clerk.
If the proposed land use is not on the list of permitted uses for your zoning district, the Town Clerk will contact you to explain what is needed to proceed.
